Anticipated start: Sept ~ Oct 2021.

Salary & Hours: $28.00 hr / 40 hrs a week – with flexibility.

Benefits Package: Negotiable

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Masters’ Degree in Education, Psychology or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder is required.

  • Support knowledge of pedagogy- focusing on evidenced-based, ethical practices related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

  • Administrative and supervisory skill sets with strong organizational skills .

  • Grant writing is an essential skill as well as preparing government reports.

  • Promote awareness & understanding of ASD community – serve as resource to agencies and professionals.

  • Familiarity with agile development processes and workflow flexibility

  • Attend Board of Director meetings – sustaining regular reporting/understanding of financial literacy.

  • Upkeep of on-going Strategic Planning (2 year forecasting). 

  • Ability to plan, implement, organize, direct and manage workshops/family events.

  • Assist families in understanding & accessing ASD support services within the community.

  • Recruit & train ACF volunteers surrounding local initiatives & functions.

  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven team atmosphere

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with attention to detail

  • Manage fundraising activities, tenant agreements and ability to negotiate sub-contracts. 

  • Experience with digital communications, management of web development and social media outlets.

  • Effectively communicate in both official languages.

  • Valid First Aid training or willingness to complete.
