Skills Enrichment Adult Mentorship Program

What is it? 

The objective of the mentorship program is to provide individualized evidence-based programs that will increase the individual’s independence across environments. The goal for each program is to enable the individual to move toward greater independence through skill acquisition. 

Who is it for? 

For individuals with autism who wish to target Independence and Functional Life Skill-building. The program is for young adults who have completed their high school career. This program is only available to individuals who do not engage in aggressive behaviour.

Day fee: $35
Covers expenses associated with the individualized programs.

Examples:

Groceries – Eg. Pre-loading a debit card with the $35 to teach budget & making purchase.

Outings – community experience (Fees, mileage, expenses, etc.)

Miscellaneous resources necessary to implement a program for targeted skill acquisition.

Hourly Rate: $45/hr
Behaviour Technicians (Mentors) have a post-secondary education (university/college) in humanities. They are trained and experienced in working with individuals with autism. In addition, the mentors also have their Certificate in Professional Crisis Management.
